These are all things that can be obtained by strength training and clean eating.
I get the same question every week. How can I lose weight? Sometimes the question is from a person who needs to lose 20 pounds, but most of the time it is from a 30 something woman who is unhappy with their appearance but is a size 8. I call them "skinny - fat". The women who wear a size 6 or 8, but are a bit soft and squishy, and they think they need to lost weight to look better. The reality is that we need to decrease body fat percentage.
Why are we so concerned with the weight on the scale? Let's focus on the size of our jeans and how we look (and feel about ourselves) in a swim suit!
Don't be intimidated by the workout in the video. Here are a few ways you can modify it to your fitness level.
- Pull ups - Use an assisted pull-up machine or do a lower number or reps (1 is good, 2 + is better!)
- Inverted Row - adjust your foot position (close to the bar easier, further away harder)
- Pistol Squat - Decrease the range of motion and build up to a full pistol squat
- Modified Hand Stand Push Up - Work on handstands against a wall
- Chest Dips - Use a machine or do your best with lower reps.
- Tricep Ext - You can do this!
- V -Ups: Do one leg at a time
